HI

I bought a Vpgue 3.0 deisel a couple of weeks ago and all was well for a few days. I then left it standing for about 2 days and when I went back to it it wouldnt start. All I got was a click from the starter.

I attached a trickle charger to it for a couple of days and all semmed ok. I got it started, drove it for a few miles and left it again. The following morning I jumped in and moved it forward a few feet so that I could open the boot and load it up. Once I did this I hopped back in again and it woldnt start. I tried to jump start it to no avail and have had it on trickle charge for 3 days with nothing this morning. Is it likely that the battery is dead? or is there something Im unaware of that could be draining the battery. I have left it unlocked while charging to avoid the alarm draining the system.

I have also noticed that the battery is quite tightly hidden away under the bonnet, any tips for getting it out and the new one in?

Thanks in advance

O

Thanks for the feeback chaps.

turns out its simply an old battery thats given up the ghost. according to the specialist that servicing it at present these new batteries dont give up slowly like the old lead acid ones. apparantly they just stop, no signs.

anyway new battery fitted and system tested, all should be OK.

thanks again.
