Would just like to do a quick check of whether it's worth changing supplier. I will come to the end of a contract with SSE soon and they are offering 24 months at:
  • £16/qtr
  • 10.8p/kWh for all units
  • 0.3p/kWh for FiTs Recovery charge (whatever that is!)
I don't use that much electricity (kettle, PC/printer, heaters in Winter) but the comparison sites all seem to require phone calls before I can see any competing rates.

So it would be useful to know if the rates are good/average/bad/terrible? TIA.

Thanks for the offers of advice.

From my most recent bills, it appears I've used approx 800 units in the last year. And by comparison with the rates being offered now (see above), I have been paying:
  • £13.54 per quarter
  • 9.03 p/kWh for all units
  • 0.10 p/kWh for FiT charge
