Business banking and cash payments

Hello,

The Mrs is in the process of starting a business that is likely to end up taking quite a lot of cash payments. What is the most cost effective way to bank the cash, seems that business accounts charge for cash handling.

It seems to me that you could pay it all into your current account for free then transfer it but also assume that opens up a world of HMRC and bank pain if anyone notices!
