I now do some work in Ireland at a clients request. My fees are set and agreed in sterling, so that I don't carry currency risk.

To date the client has paid electronically from its parent in US, while they sort their stuff and get a local account which they now have.

I've been asked if I can take a euro cheque.

Comparison
Direct transfer cost £7
Pay euro cheque In £30 but how do we work out the payment amount?
Debit card - 4.4%

I'm keen to make this easy for my client, and am aware that getting anything done in Ireland takes an age....

Any ideas if I'm missing any obvious options?

Cheers

Hmmm.. Silence.

This is way more difficult than I expected.

I think I need my client to pay electronically end of. Anything else takes an age.
