In the not too distant future when I'm in a position to freelance in my current day job, I intend to be running a personal side venture.

It just happens that a gentleman's massage venue seems to fit the bill - cheap initial outfitting costs, great deal of demand, benefit to the community (clients and service providers alike) etc.

Casually throwing it out there, but it has to be worth considering at the very least?

Err, I hate to ask but seeing as I'm in the "legitimate" side of the massage business, are you meaning the legitimate or illegal side of the trade?
Tax contributions will be made.

Hardly.

Without trying to make out like I know how it's done, your average Uk brothel isn't some pseudo "normal massage parlour" where if you know the secret hand shake you get to see a special menu with some extras offered on it.

Premises wise you ideally need an unassuming rental in an area where people don't like to ask too many questions with a landlord who will appreciate the cash. Your average terrace house in a low income area does well, people can come and go, park up and blend in amongst other population. The type of neighbourhood with a few drug dealers would obviously provide an ideal working benefit for your staff.

I'd imagine you'd be looking for short term arrangements with the landlord as well, keep the operation moving so's not to constantly build up suspicion plus being able to shut up shop and move on quickly when you get the inevitable outbreak of violence from your customers, drug overdose or fire bomb from over protective competition.

Trying to keep one step ahead of all that will undoubtably leave you with little time to be worrying about filing tax returns and keeping companies house up to date on trading venues. Registering for VAT might not prove the advantage you first though either seeing as the majority of expenditure won't come with a invoice either.

Eventually, if you're getting to the point where "lucky weekends at the casino" are no longer enough to explain your high cash expenditure and you need somewhere legitimate to wash the cash, I'm reliably informed any small take away food venue will suffice smile
You are very well informed. ears

What you are doing in essence is having a venue, in which you rent out the rooms inside the venue to girls.

In does have its dangers also, this is a well known place in Birmingham which operates using the above method, I'm told- http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2826739/Ki...
Still in business:

Would have through a place like that would be 'making bank'. Quite risky however.
