Sponsoring amateur sports

As a company, we'd like to sponsor local athletes but not sure how to do so.
I understand we're not able to give 'money' as it would be taxable and may affect their amateur status.
How do we go about providing kit, transport, physio, warm weather training, etc.?
Do they provide a list which we can fulfill? Vouchers of some kind?
Google's not been friendly as I'm only getting advice from the athlete's viewpoint.
No idea how to start.
