Approximate cost of HGV & driver hire?

I'm just looking into something which might be worth buying but will require a HGV to transport (just a regular articulated lorry + box trailer, not a flatbed). Does anybody know very roughly how much it will cost to get one for around 3 hours loading, a journey that will be just a whisker under 500 miles then 3 hours unloading. Our bods would do the loading/unloading. If I was to guess I'd say probably £2,500 upwards. I've really no idea how accurate that would be.

If it was something I was probably going to book soon then yes but I'm really just after a ballpark figure without wasting a haulier's time.
