My new role involves engaging with Building Surveyors / Facilities Managers / Quantity Surveyors and is somewhat different from my previous involvement with the construction industry - where the point of contact was either estimator or materials buyer.

I'm wondering what the correct approach is to a Building Surveyor / similar. Without expressing too much information, our services are in assistance of condition reports for waterproofing / weather-tightness / insulation and our route to market is to develop specifications using our own products which can then be used for refurbishment works.

So far my approach and advice from the company I work for has largely been 'try it and see' with mixed results from large mail-merges and scouring LinkedIn etc.

However, very little appears to be generating interest.

So if there are any surveyors or facilities managers, development managers, property managers etc. on PH, could you divulge on how you prefer to be approached by outside service providers? Ultimately there is a sales pitch of course, but the primary message is that we can help by applying our expertise and producing a written or presented report.

Any help much appreciated (I hope it all made sense...)
