Discussion
I've signed up for the 4 week trial for the new streaming service on the PS3. They seem to have a reasonable selection of TV on there and for £6 a month it's currently not too bad if I take it on. It'll be interesting to see how the broadband holds up to the stress though and while I do think some of the TV is quite good, I do hope they get things a bit more up to date.
Anyone else trying this?

Needs a logon to see that page.I was really excited when I first saw that Netflix was coming to the UK and then today when it was announced that it was available I was really keen to get started.
My issue is that I'm not sure if they'll have the latest films, and the page showing the 'New Film Arrivals' is pretty dire to! I mean 'The Expendables' and 'Kill Bill Part. 2'... really!?
On that note it makes things so much easier to download the latest films from non-legit sources than from these legal sites. I've often said to my mates, if they had a legal service that worked like Usenet and charged £20+ a month then I'd sign up immediately. I don't currently spend £20 on 'movie industry' products so they'd be quids in from me.
I don't want this comment to start a conversation about where to download movies from. I'm just acknowledging that you can and some people do. I don't!

I use the US version. No idea if it's the same. There's quite a wide selection, though usually, for something like a multi series show, the most recent series will only be available on DVD.
New arrivals on the streaming service (front page) are:
Senna
No strings attached
True grit
Limitless
Mars needs moms
Tucker and Dale vs. evil
Tv examples:
Stargate universe s1 s2
How I met your mother is up to season6.
If you've got any specfic questions, I'll go look and see what is available here.

Totally agree. I actually feel guilty using newsgroups but they just work fantastically.
