I am seriously considering getting rid of my mobile.

I finished my contract, and changer to PAYG.

I have just realized that I have put no credit on it for 3 months.

However, I would really miss the camera, and Google maps on it.

Has anyone given up completely, and how did you cope?

Any suggestions about the camera and maps problem?

THEIR! FFS.
Sorry, if my spelling offended you, I'm dyslexic, spell checker helps with spelling, but can't help me in this situation, when several similar words will fit.

Sorry I forgot, this is PH Speeling(intentional) matters.

a camera and a map ffs!!!
I was thinking an all in one solution, a friend suggested an Ipod touch, but I may as well just carry an Iphone.

What would you do if you broke down in your car (besides kick yourself)?
Good point, never thought of that, but I've had no credit for 3 months, so I'm no better or worse off now.

A phone like a nokia 520 however might be a better shout if you need this stuff.
Guess what phone I have.

I downgraded from an Iphone 4s to the Nokia.

haha, good choice. though I do prefer the camera on the 920, 925 and 1020
Yes, the camera is rubbish, and refuses to work in anything other than natural light.

I'm not offended and I'm dyslexic too!
OT, but in that case, do you struggle to figure out what version of a word to use?

I can normally manage to, two, and too, but have problems with anything else, and spell checker is no help.

Well then you have a free excellent satnav and maps already that works without mobile data. Can't help with the camera though.
The more I think about it, I need a phone.

Not for phone calls, but as a satnav, backup for my walking maps, and a camera.

Time to do as suggested, find a provider who doesn't write off your credit after just 1 month.

At least then, I can make a call in an emergency, I don't think I will be giving my number to anyone, It's nice not getting texts every 5 minutes.
