Im supposedly migrating today, after giving my PAC over and getting confirmation last Friday

The 'old' phone is switched off in a drawer somewhere, my new one with temporary number is on and with me

Its now 2pm and I still havent moved

What I cant find an answer to on Google is does my old SIM need to be live as well as the one Im moving to?
I dialled my old phone, ie with the number I want to move over, and it came up as "unavailable number" or something an hour ago

Does this sound right, or should I knock off for a coffee and call my new network?

Cheers

Ive just spoken to Vodafone and its all in control, in fact I was just about to be ported over as I made the call!!!

Who'd have believed the timing, huh?

aaaargh - there is in fact an error

i seem to have a 'split port'

My old SIM on the other network has been terminated as expected but Vodafone have not set up the new one
Bizarrely I can make calls but not receive them and cant do anything with texts at all

Customer service have been utterly useless, some searching online reveals I appear to not be the first person this has happened to

Suggestions for getting it fixed welcome:

a) another call to useless customer services tomorrow when they open
b) drop into my local Voda shop who have the advantage of being on the same continent (unlike 'a')
c) start bhing on the Vodafone website forums
d) post some mentalisms on Facebook/Twitter

Cheers
