Selling iPhone on Gumtree- any risks to be aware of?

We all know the inherent risks of buying a phone from places like eBay or Gumtree, but what about selling? Is there any risk to it?

I am looking to sell my wife's iPhone 5s and the usual "we buy your phone" sites are offering about £269 at best, which seems quite low (although I am aware that the new 6 has massively reduced values of the lesser models).

I wouldn't mind trying my hand at getting a bit more on Gumtree for the phone.

If I have it as cash only, and collect only, are there any risks from my side of things?

The phone is SIM and contract free so should be fairly desirable.

Needless to say, nobody wants any of their texts/emails/pictures/accounts being left on their phone when then sell it, so it would be factory restored, as it would if it was sold to a "we buy your phone" website.
