With payday only a week away, I'm very tempted to buy a tablet using money from my TVR savings account...

I had an iPad 2 when it first came out and loved it, I used it every single day I owned it and after 18 months I sold it to fund my RX-7 purchase.

Eventually I replaced it with a Nexus 7 (the original one) which was a good little tablet but definitely lacking the grunt and quality of the iPad - unfortunately my dog jumped on it and broke the touch screen. I gave it to a colleague...

These days I don't really care for Apps or games on my phone so this isn't something I care about with the tablet either. All I want is something with a cracking battery life and the ability to stream media and browse websites without any issue.
My brain is telling me to go for the iPad but I just can't be bothered with linking it to iTunes - I like to just drag and drop!

Also, my colleauge has just got around to fixing my old Nexus and says he'll sell it back to me for £60 (£30 labour, £30 parts) - which is probably the smart thing to go for, but I kind of want something new!

TL,DR:

What tablet should I get if I just want to browse the web and watch YouTube video's?

Cheers... Would love a MS Surface Pro 3 but its just too expensive!

I'll check out the Nexus 9, Hudl and others mentioned.

Nexus 9 being my main choice at the moment.

After reading many reviews I picked up the Hudl 2.

Only negative thing the reviewers have said is the poor battery life compared to its competitors which was a concern - then I realised 75% of the time I'll use it I'll be 2 feet from a plug socket so popped down to Tesco's handed over my money and voila!
