Selfridges doing 20% off on some stuff with the code "SELF14" at the checkout smile Not sure what the exclusions are however.
Sonos stuff 10% off at Selfridges with that code
Talk with VEX for songs stuff, he might be able to get a better deal for any PHer.

Im not wanting to advertise the price PHers paid but it was less than the £169 it was advertised at, I got 2 Play 1s from him and many other Phers got a lot of songs kit from him.

The Sonos thread pops up now and again and he asks PHers to contact him if they want kit.

Do you know how Amazon Black Friday deals work ?
Obviously not, no. Care to explain?
new deal every 10 minutes or so... deal is for XX% below the normal price and there is only a limited amount of each item.

For example a coffee machine thats £500 normally, was on at £350, but it lasted 2 minutes as all stock went instantly.

Not a gopro but Sony hdr-as30 from midnight on Amazon. I paid £99 on the deal yesterday so expect about the same normally £160.
Thought about that last night and looking at it again now, it's only £16 less than cheapest marketplace seller though. I was looking for something to record in the car so it is tempting, image quality isn't as good as a GoPro but only really noticeable pixel peeping. And it works with the control app which I'm not sure if all of the other cheaper action\car cams have?

List for John Lewis tomorrow, on a file storage site but seems genuine enough http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/john-lewis-full-bl...

Lumia 2520 32GB for £199, Asus Memopad 7 for £50 (whoever bought one above for more, sorry! biggrin), and a few big discounts on appliances

Jebus. Garmin sat nav on Amazon 199 to 99 and 40% gone inside 30 seconds. Must be a few appearing on eBay shortly then.
Same as the 50" Blaupunkt TV's that Tesco are selling, Ebay seem to have a sudden rush of them.
Quick way to make a buck init...

If I could be bothered with the hassle of doing it, I would do the same, buy everything that will sell quickly after black Friday and put them back up on eBay with a 5% hair cut instead of 40%...

However, Im not that way inclined and didn't want to.

Quick question - when you join the waitlist for a deal on Amazon, how do they notify if/when it becomes available?
you should have known shortly after the ending of the deal, as you only get it if the same number of people in front of you don't want the deal, like a 2nd chance in eBay.

It usually tells you the number straight away, think I got 18, so I would need 36 people to not take the deal for me to get notified and get it.

Even at the sale minimally-reduced prices, where TF do they get the cash from for 6 TVs? Are they THAT convinced they're going to pay for their own Xmas via this?
3 now on eBay already.

Out of curiosity, I had a look at few websites and PCWorld and Argos are both effectively down. Amazing. What is it that people expect to be such a bargain?
All of the stuff that they can't shift during the year.

You know, all the crap you usually see when walking through and its of a brand you would never normally touch and its of the lower end of the quality scale.

£250 tvs for £150-180... its like flies on st.

When the deals I look for are the ones that are normally £500 and above and are going for £300... thats after a bit of research to make sure its a good deal.

I'm confused; whether you pay for the 6 TV's on your flexible friend or Christmas, you will be paying the same, so what is the point in e-baying them, you won't get more than you paid for them and with e-bay and PayPal fees you will most likely lose money on each one.
Cash today.....problem tomorrow
Obviously expecting to see a profit, otherwise could simply withdraw the cash from ATM...
I can't be bothered trawling fleabay to see the actual prices.
Exactly, whether you spend £800 on 6 TV's or £800 on Christmas on your credit card, you are still spending £800.

Anyway I have found a brand new Polaroid 40" TV in its box on e-bay, judging by the photo being taken in a lounge it is a private individual selling it; £200 buy it now + £30 postage.
of for the sake of a few more £££ pay £280 for the LG one that is £200 off... Would not pay for one of those TVs on eBay out of principle for missing the deal in the first place.

That and I were the one selling I would be paranoid the buyer would get it and say the thing is broken.... BOOM... all profit out of the window covering the costs of that.

Not sure if this has been discussed yet??

Why do you have to queue to get on the Currys website? Is it to create a demand that is led by a marketing campaign or genuine? My curiosity has got the better of me and I am waiting in the queue......

I don't even want to buy anything at the moment!

Mike
Because the server might be only able to cope with 100 orders a second and could crash if its something like 500 a second, then you have to get it back online and lose all that potential income.
