I'm currently using my Ps3 to stream from Netflix, NowTV and Amazon, but it's noisy and the interface/controller is, well,a bit st...

There is a list of devices and their compatibility on findable, but the only ones which do all three are the PlayStations and Xboxs.

Done a bit of searching, and it looks like services via PC/Mac are all SD, unless you mince about with hacks or change settings every time you start a show.

Multiple boxes are a definite no too, so do I have to buy a smart TV?

Apologies chaps, I should have done my own research.

It appear the info on www.findable.tv is a little in accurate.

I doesn't mention support for the Amazon service on any of the Roku boxes. rolleyes

I've hooked up my PC to the TV for a test, and Netflix does indeed stream in HD, but it's teary and jittery, even in SD, so I'd need a new graphics card, as well as a new case do fit on the cabinet.

A bit more reading to do yet, but thanks for the input.

Just to update, ended up buying a Chromecast with 3 months free* Entertainment, as the noise of the PS3 was getting on my threpny bits...

  • I say "free" as the CC was £30, rather than the £12 it was in the run up to Christmas... rolleyes
Pretty pleased with it tbh, but, does anyone know of any apps/sites that let you combine what's on each of the streaming services? My free trials are overlapping, and is annoying flicking between apps to see what's available. (I know, first world problems!)

I've seen "findable", but you can't filter out services you don't have, and works kinda backwards to how I want it...
