I have had a zyxel 310 NSA for a few years now and since i have AFTV with xbmc , i thought id turn it on and try and set up a NFS share. So installed the latest firmware and the interface is still clunky and doesnt work (reasons it was collecting dust anyway) so i have given up on it.

So what i want is a server that can do the following

1x HDD bay
2x USB plugs for my external HDDs , it must be able to share these volumes without reformatting.
Relativley quiet (lounge location)
<£100 delivered

It needs to share media without fault to the following:

2x android phones using bubble upnp to then stream to chromecast
1x android tablet for films etc ( dont have a tv in bedroom)
1x windows 7 pc can be set up to use a network drive (send over wifi)
1x amazon fire tv running xbmc (kido)
1x wdtv live that will be used when i finally get another tv
1x PS4

Basically i am after a server thats easily "discoverable" by default using something like upnp.

PS does anyone want my zyxel 310

Another vote for Synology. The Synology 115j is £83 at eBuyer, excluding the disk (I can recommend WD Red if you don't have a spare SATA disk you can reuse)

Role on payday , i have a 80 gb Harddrive just incase it requires one to get set up.

Although il be using my main external hard drives until they detonate.
