My contract with 3 ends in a few weeks. My intention was to renew as normal. I have beem with them for 11 years .Today I rang them to chat about renewing my contract to be to told tethering will be capped at 2gb. They say I normally use 2 to 8. The only option they have is to go back to a dongle. Is it true that all networks are capping tethering to such a low limit as 3 say. I am disappointed and they wont even up the allowance if you pay more.

From what I have read they will switch us off at their leisure and unlimited tethering no longer exists. Its 2gb or go away. Its like going back in time not forward.

What happens once your contract expires though? Unlimited tethering is a thing of the past it seems.I have been on the one contract for 4 years.

Whats getting me is the puny new amount. From unlimited to 2gb is pathetic. It means no more lappy use whilst I am away from home . My smart tv I just bought for my camper has become pointless. In this day and age we should be getting more accessible internet.2gb means no streaming no you tube no webcam . 3 said I will have to go back to a dongle but these are capped at 15gb too rather than unlimited as previous.
