I am used to iOS and 32 or 64GB memory, however I recently bought an Asus Android tablet with 8 GB for my 4 year old.

Am I being a numbnutz here ? i have installed a 32GB SD card, what I am finding is half of the internal memory is used for built in apps that are not used and when I download apps / games for her there is never enough memory.

There are only 7 apps that I have put on it so when I want a new one I have to delete one. Any apps that can be moved from internal storage to external storage t have done.

New apps will not go to external memory, is this about right or is something amiss ?

Any thoughts on this please ?

What version of android? Generally, if you can see the card, you :-) put apps on it.

On the other hand, its for a 4 year old, and was presumably cheap as chips. If you are wise, you spent as much on an decent rubbery case as the device, so what are you expecting?
What do you mean see the card ? It was £149.00 so I was exoecting a little bit more, hence the OP....

Just for future reference, when I turn the tablet off, do all apps close down ?
