I wondered if someone could point me in the direction of the simplest mobile phone that you can currently buy.

Events of today mean that my mum has got to have a mobile phone and she has finally allowed me to get one for her but she is concerned that she won't understand it or be able to use it so I would like something beautifully simple that just makes calls if possible.

Thanks.

Must admit I'd be shopping around though - didn't think that would be £120 eek
Looks like they go down to about £90. I would rather it was £20 but it's worth it for the peace of mind

+1 for the Doro. I bought one for my mum. Very simple to use, no gimmicks and it has a loud ring and buttons that are easy to press.
It certainly looks like it's the one to go for.

I've had a look at some others but they are loaded with tech she really doesn't need and would probably get overwhelmed by.

The most techy things she has ever had in her life are a landline phone she has had for at least 30 years and the tv remote control on which 4 or 5 buttons are used.

I've been looking at one similar to that.

This one.

I'm going to show her a few and see if she wants a simple key pad or super simple with just a few buttons.

The mercury is on my show to her list. I like how it has a holster. Makes things that bit more simple.

I'm in a tricky situation here.
She has agreed to have a mobile but it is reluctantly.
She would happily end her life having never owned or used one for that matter and I am fairly certain that it will spend most of it's time left in the house but I have to try.

I know if I throw a techy phone at her it will sit in a drawer.
