Bose noise cancelling headphones
Discussion
I was on a trip a month ago and at the airport a guy I was with said 'try these' and handed me a set of Bose noise cancelling headphones. Put them on, he flicked the switch on the side and it was incredible - like someone had turned the volume from 8 to 2. Didn't get a chance to try them on the plane as he was on a different flight.
So anyway, had four flights to make this week so I bit the bullet and bought a pair. I had no idea how noisy planes were! Presumably because the noise builds gradually through start up, taxiing, then accelerating up to speed you don't notice it so much, but I was genuinely astonished at the difference it made - even if not listening to music it's worth having them on and switched on.
Anyway, starting to sound like a Bose commercial but seriously, if you travel a lot - get a pair. Wish I'd done it years ago, it's transformative!

I concur, the QC25s are brilliant!
Likewise I bought mine as I was taking lots of flights for work However they are also great if you have to use the bus/tube to get to the office as well. Too hot to wear this time of year though
Bose customer service is top notch too, after a year mine developed an issue, only one ear cup had sound, but they were replaced at no cost/question. This was despite me not having the receipt as I bought them cheaper online.

I bought a pair of the Bose QC25 and was astonished by them. I was on a stopover between flights from London to Vegas (for work) and had had enough of my current headphones, so bought them. Now I find flights much more comfortable and find myself switching the Bose on and off just to hear how incredible the noise-cancelling technology is.
One of the best purchases I've ever made.

I have the akg n60 headphones, very pleased with them as comfortable and good sound, the noise cancelling is also good for repetitive noise but no so good for voices.
Overall good headphones and I do like that you can remove the audio cable if not listening to music, the cable does make some noise if moving against clothes so could be better.

I just use an £8 bluetooth receiver: https://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_c_0_13?url...https://thebtunes.com
Unless anyone knows of another solution/hack.
But your solution looks way more elegant.

That's nifty! I wonder whether you get any loss of sound quality. https://thebtunes.com

Quite like the volume and pause buttons on the wire too.

Cheers... I would if I could but the problem is that the headphones don't take the 3.5 jack..But your solution looks way more elegant.

Bought a set of panasonic ones in the states years ago, may not be up to bose standards but still pretty effective
I've got Bose QC's but when the whole family went to the US last year I bought 3 each of the £25 Sony and JVC jobs and they're maybe 85% as good. OK, the last 15% makes a difference but for the money I was impressed and you can listen to the soundtrack on films without having to turn the volume right up.We can also lend them to people where I'd never lend the Bose ones.
