Looking to buy a tablet for my dad. He's in his mid-70s, but very tech-wise. He says he's using his PC less and less (in terms of variety of uses) and would prefer something he can use while he's watching TV etc.
The answer won't be Apple.
Which means it will be either Android or Windows. Looking for something reasonably large format (10" plus?). Budget... £300ish?
Have done some research. I've seen some complaints of Windows tablets running slowly and/or having low limits on running multiple applications/windows.
One side question, sometimes I'll share a film or TV episode with him via Onedrive. At present, he downloads the file, pops it on a USB stick and plugs it into his TV. If I had an Android tablet, and got him a ChromeCast wotsit, could he flick the file from the Onedrive link to play on the TV?
I'd value opinions from peeps with first hand experience of (recent model) tablet ownership.
