Please can someone identify this red adaptor/plug please?

Hi guys.

My kids ride on car came with this adaptor. It seems the adaptor has died and its sealed so I'm buggered.



Problem is I can only find this red style plug in in the US. The car came from Halfords.

Am I best to buy a new 6V adaptor and splice the red plug in onto it?

I can tell the polarity from the red plug that plugs into it
