This starts off with an issue with my Sky Q system and wouldn't connect to the router. Problem only started yesterday.
Two channels 2.4 and 5GHZ. Sky system only connects with 2.4 but wouldn't. Changed settings on router (BT HH5) to auto channel select and now Sky Q will connect.
The 2.4 network in the lounge has a download speed of around 2 megs but 5 network is 35 megs measured on ipad. When near the router which is only 10m away from lounge both are similar speeds (35). So it looks like an issue just in the lounge but can't work out why as nothing has changed. A bit flummoxed- anyone any ideas?

Give those a go, after that I am out of ideas, and you will have to buy another router biggrin
If already found that site and tried everything.
Only thing I can think is that the router is faulty as never had this issue before

Try a different channel for 2.4ghz. Try downloading inSSIDer to scan the local networks and see if a neighbour is on the same channel. Fix you channel on the router to a less congested channel. 1, 6, 11 are the best as they do not overlap other channels, however these are also the most popular.
Thanks yep have done that too- now currently set to auto as that seemed to work best. I'll try inSSIDer tonight- only have one neighbour and can see his network so will check.
