Morning all, I'm trying to increase my wifi signal around my home (Large old Victorian Terrace). Currently i have 1 virgin media superhub, I have been given another one and I am hoping to configure it as per the drawing below. Is this possible or am i wasting my time. I must state that i am a total novice with all things computers and networking so please bear that in mind when replying. Thanks David

Thanks SP, I am a little baffled by the IP address bit but I'll figure it out. Google will help i'm sure. I assume you must do the IP address and the DCHP thing via a laptop connected to the network?

Thanks again.

To be honest, 2 seperate networks wont be a huge problem as far as i can see. (naive noobie??)

I havent tried the second superhub as its not with me at the moment. I did think VM might block it but as its free, i thought id give it a go. I have the required f type splitters and connectors from previous DIY jobs.

I'll look into CAT 5 cabling too but dont think I will have the access to route the cable as new floors are down now.

Thanks again SP for the screen shots and thanks all for your help

Update, I plugged the second virgin media superhub into my splitter. Straight away another network fired up. put in the password and thought Ive done it. That was easy........
However, when i tried to actually go onto internet and open google i realised that its wasn't working even though my phone is showing connected.
So i started following SP's advice. It took me a while to realise that i had to type the IP address into the internet search bar to get onto the superhub settings. it seemed it didnt matter whether the hub was connected via wifi or cable.
I set about changing the ip address. I only changed the last diget. Tried changing it from 1 to 2 but it said already in use. Looked at the IP restriction page and realised that some other devices has adopted a few number. (Amp, TV etc) saw that number 6 wasnt uses so changed that, also knocked off the I only changed the last number. Tried changing it from 1 to 2 but it said already in use. Looked at the IP restriction page and realised that some other devices has adopted a few number. This seemed to make my old superhub not work. All internet was down. I think i may have changed my existing superhub settings if the IP addresses were the same? Anyway, after much messing around, i had to reset my orignal superhub back to factory settings to restore the internet on that one. Maybe i shouldnt have had the existiong on connected to the internet whilst i was trying to change the new one??

I think i have come to the conclusion that i am not technically minded enough on computers to start messing around.
