I've just found out that if you hold down on the keyboard on a iPhone with 3D Touch , it turns it into a track pad which makes selecting text, and cutting and pasting so much easier! Any other helpful tricks out there?

Android keyboard swipe left/right on space bar to move the cursor. Makes the Google typing experience one notch better than exasperatingly, unbearably st.

Found out the other day that, by holding down a title bar in the multi task window, you can split up your screen.

Available on new ish Android devices

I did the split screen thing by accident on my iPad the other day and I had to Google how to turn it off again.

On android devices if you swipe down to the panel that allows you to turn WiFi & bluetooth on or off etc. if you press and hold the relevant option it will open up the settings to choose which WiFi/Bluetooth device. Rather than just toggling on/off.

Very quick and useful.

I must be misunderstanding this, swiping the space bar moves the cursor a space? So does touching the space bar.

Swiping your finger left will move the cursor left if you want to edit and tapping the screen if a faff sometimes.

Android.
Accidentally typed a word in block caps? Select the word and use shift to cycle through lower case, title case and block caps.

That space bar one of awesome!

Swiping left/right (keep finger pressed) allows you to move back and forth on the line.

That's good - thanks.

Also in modern Android, swipe left from the delete key to delete multiple words at a time. Much quicker than selecting text by tapping-and-holding on it.

The standard Android keyboard has had swiping for ages now; I ditched SwiftKey years ago - does it do something you want that the standard one doesn't?

Sorry, this was about the iPhone 3d touch feature!
