Is it just me - because everytime i run an AV or spyware scan after its finished my PC freezes? - this has happened from day 1 for the last 6 yrs - so i assume it's a characteristic and not a fault?
Yup running XP on 256mb-is that root cause of prob then?.In fact any scan -will cause a freeze including a defrag -which is supposed to stop the bloody freezes happening in first place! Must admit ain't done a scandisk for well over a year
Thanks unchecked index servicing and have got into services but there is an A-Z of them some disabled /some auto /some manual - ain't got clue though which of the more technical sounding services that are autos should be set to manual
