Windows 7 arrived today!

Got home from work today to find windows 7 waiting for me (pre ordered from PC world)

2hrs later im all set up with all my programs and docs transfers, so far im impressed it looks very much like vista but runs much quicker even with the aero enabled on my 2 year old laptop.

Anyone else installed it?

The only problem i had was getting the correct display driver working, works now and looks smart

Quick question, the Europe version was supposed to be a fresh install of W7 on top of Vista rather than an upgrade. Is that still the case, the reason being I didn't see anything of a 'E' marked on the box (which came from Ireland) and have only seen reference to a Vista tool on the MS website which makes the transition easier.

Did you need to do the whole Disaster Recovery - fresh install - reinstall all programs and settings deal that was suggested? Sounds like your upgrade was relatively pain free.

No 'E' on my box, it gave me the option to upgrade but i decided to format and do a fresh install, quite painless really also strangly it came with IE8 which i thought was banned due to competition rules.

7.7gig mine, although i have installed apps since which may have increased it slightly.
