Advice please - replacing PSU
Discussion
The PSU in my ageing HP Pavilion desktop is on the blink. This sort of stuff confuses the hell out of me, so I'm after a bit of advice regarding replacing it.
The standard PSU is a Bestec ATX-250-12Z Rev C1 ( HP Pt Nr 5187-1099). It has 4 pin and 20 pin mobo connectors and the HDD, CD and DVD drives are connected using molex 4 pin IDE connectors.
Trouble is, I just don't understand what I can/cannot use to reaplce this. I assume any ATX type with the same connectors will work, but does it need to be 250v still, or not? Any suggestions for a reliable, but not too expensive unit which will work?
