Right so got the wedding done, and paid the tax bill. So time has come to trade back up to something decent.

C63s.

Anything I need to know? Buying from main dealer. What are the desireable options and the ones to avoid.

Thank you please.

Get one with the performance pack.

Avoid the Bellend Purple ones.
Thanks. That's a mistake I will only make once.

Soovy - did you buy the C63 or not ?
My current steed is up for sale on here for a week to see if anyone bites. If not then it's trading in next week against an 08 plate silver car with 19s from MB.

You didn't buy the silver one at MB Eastbourne per chance? Originally at MB Tonbridge?
Should I be concerned?
No, dont think so.....had a test drive booked on that car but you bought it first............git.
smile
Oh b0ll0cks!!

Sorry mate (well, I'm not, but you know what I mean! hehe)

If it helps, I've PMd you and I have done a LOT of research on these cars which you might find useful, including a couple you should avoid like the clap due to hidden pasts.

Congratulations.......there was a lot of interest in that car, at least another test drive booked at tonbridge, so well done! I had a test drive in the e92 M3 a couple of months ago and am just thinking about alternatives, as a few reservations about the M3.......

Enjoy the car
Shall do. PM if you fancy a run out. More than happy to help. I looked at M3s too but the C63 is a different league, for a man of my age and girth!

Soovy what made you decide on C63 over M3 ?
Noise. Comfort. SIX POINT TWO LITRES. Torque. Noise. The fact I did I sex wee when I started it.

Noise.

And the fact that to th great unwashed it looks like a minicab.

Noise.

Have you got the car yet Soovy?
MB finance wanted a chunky deposit based on the age of the car. Other option is a new car (whoop!) for the same deposit and the same monthly payment (with a 7k contribution from MB would you believe WTF!!!????????!!!!!!!!!!)

Negotiations ongoing - obviously the new car has a three year warranty as well................................

If I can get a brand new one for the same outlay then I'd be bonkers to go for a 40k miler with three years under its belt.

More to follow. One thing is for sure. MB want rid of stock new ones!!

But effectively leasing a car for £30k before tax, petrol, servicing and insurance is not a bargain as some silly phucker further up the thread thinks, is it? PCP mind control strikes again!
biggrin

Worst case scenario - £765 month. £9k year. For a £60k car of this calibre. Not expensive really is it for a brand-new amg wink. A 991 with a £6k deposit will be more than double that monthly payment i bet. And as for insurance, fuel etc, that's irrelevant whether it's a new car or a 10 year old car. In fact, you could buy a 2 year old amg and quite easily get a £2-3k next-service bill.

I stand by my 'bargain' comment hehe

PCP gets some people into cars they can't afford to OWN ! wink

Someone will be along soon to say that they invested the equity into something else which quadrupled in value, making them tens of thousand in profit. They never say what this investment is though........
wink
Quick Robsti in pcp bashing shocker!!!!

BTW it's under £28k not £30k and this is before negotiating with the dealers; and as amazing as that crystal ball of yours is at predicting they'll be no equity in the car at the end of the term can you show us all these £27k 3 year old C63s with less than 30k miles on them.

These sort of cars aren't going to be free to own, but if sensibly bought/sold I reckon this deal would cost about £21/22k over 3 years, not too bad considering.

ETA: Soovy if you want me to sanity check any deal you get offered I'm more than happy to have a look for you....might even be able to beat it! wink
Shall do chap.
