Bought my CLS in January as my work horse for driving to the office in Germany.
Its been fantastic to drive and on economy.

Thinking of all season tyres for the German winter but it made me think about buying a second set of summer tyres and bigger alloy than the 17" she has now.

Any picture recommendations of good looking 18" or 19" Alloys would be appreciated.

Cheers,
Tony.

I'd go for 19" AMG type III for your car, which is too big for the current 17"s (IMO).

Here's my previous E with them on - they are actually CLS wheels - nicely dished, especially at the rear:
Hi and thank.
I agree with the 17" being to small.
I saw a CLS with those wheels today and had wondered what they were and so thanks again,
Cheers,
Tony.

Hi Developer,
I just bought the AMG III this week with 9,5 rears and 8,5 fronts.
Now I realise I didn't check that 285's will fit the rear end of a 320 CDI ?
I'm assuming that the body/wheel arches/off sets are the same. Am I correct ?
Cheers.

I was going to post a 'before and after' pic of my CLS going from the 17" 'tuning fork' wheels to the 19" AMG III's but the Office firewall wont let me.
Anyway, just wanted to thank you for the recommendations, the car looks great with the new wheels.

Hello again......byebye

I think I must have a buckled 19" as I've had them balanced twice now still have an resonant vibration at around 130km/h. Doesn't happen on the 17"s

I just wanted to make a comment about the ride quality difference between my winter 17" wheels and the 10" AMG III's that bought last year.
Basically the 17"s feel so much better regardless of the vibration.
I find the 19"s tram-line a little and generally don't seem in harmony with the cars suspension. Or is it just me.
