Having been approached by many people over the car, I've received many compliments ranging from an owner of a 60's Mustang jokingly asking me if I'd like to swap,to petrol heads asking me to rev at lights quite often. The car has always received a good reception whenever I'm out which was quite shocking as I was very paranoid about where I was parking, returning to the car ASAP when out at the supermarket etc, and having sleepless nights when parked away from home thinking it'd be a target for hate.

What are your experiences, have you been treated favourably,or spat at by E36 M3 drivers lol

I seem to get a lot of compliments from Eastern Europeans, they seem to appreciate German horsepower.

The best compliments I've received have generally been round my prowess as a driver for owning such a powerful car - I fail to mention it took me 6 months to get past C mode when I first got it lol.

"That might explain why I got a truly seven star service at my local Polish hand-carwash. Much to the annoyance of the Audi A4 driver behind whose car was finished up in half the time!"

Ha! Leave your keys in the ignition and let them rev it now and then, they'll come out of the car with a fun size Mars bar in the pocket, or so I assume laugh at the place I get mine done

More actions rather than compliment but I guess its still a form of compliment!

First weekend I had the car I had to nip down to Ikea in Edinburgh.
Was parked at the furthest possible point from the entrance in the quietest section of the carpark.
We had lunch and from the canteen window I could see a chap walking round the car taking photos on his mobile.

Fast forward a few weeks and I was down in Manchester for the weekend.
As I was waiting at lights to join Deansgate, a young guy with a dSLR came running out of nowhere to my left and frantically fired off a few shots as the lights were turning green.

Turns out he's a regular PH-er as I managed to trace him to a regional sub forum.

Heres what he shot:
Very Nice Pic - God I'm going to cry when my one goes........
