With no roadsters on the market anywhere that I can see, I wonder what mine would now be worth? 2011 roadster, 7k miles, 2 owners, silver, black Designo interior, full interior carbon pack, reversing camera, garage opener, forged alloys, red roof...?

No immediate plans to sell, I think it could be a good long term bet and it is bloody good fun to drive in the meantime driving

I think the Roadster is still valued at less than the Coupe, and there seems to be a mark down for non B&O cars - so I'd guesstimate 125-130?
I agree that the roadster is currently less valuable than the coupe, which is arguably the more iconic with the gullwing doors, but the roadster is considerably rarer and generally considered the better resolved of the two (at least compared to early coupes).

I'd need your higher estimate to show any profit on mine, but given the fact there are none at all on the market I'd be after a bit more than that. When I recently spoke to the dealership I bought mine from, they said they couldn't now buy one for what I paid for mine...

Just had a look on AT and there's 3 convertibles priced £125 - 35k, no coupes, interesting.
The convertibles seem to be cheaper right now than the coupes and I thought they are the rarer car?
There are 301 coupes registered in the UK (excluding Black Series) and only 79 roadsters, so coupes out number roadsters by almost 4 to 1...

I think the prospects for both are good since they have already started appreciating when the car is barely out of production. They don't seem to be as mileage sensitive as other marques - especially Ferrari, so I must use mine a little more smile

Totally agree. Dark grey sls is rocking
It may be rocking, but I think the classic Mercedes silver will be the best bet long term, ideally with red accents.

Guess what I bought? laugh

In terms of value yes! However the dark grey makes the car look more aggressive and fits with the rumbling exhaust note nicely.
I have to agree with you there. I chose silver largely from a resale point of view, it isn't a colour I would normally choose, but in fact with the red roof I think it does look good...

Our SLS is in original ownership, and under 8000 miles. The supplying Mercedes dealer called yesterday asking to buy the car(!) No price mentioned yet, but it's not for sale.
You know the market is looking strong when dealers start calling you! You may as well find out what they'd offer...

Gullwing looks best in metallic blue, I had a silver one because that was all I could buy at the time with massive discount but always wished I had waited for a blue or a black car. Roadster looks good in silver or black as long as with a red roof.
Pleased that I could now sell mine for more than I paid for it brand new which would also be the case if I had kept my gullwing.
Out of interest, did you prefer the coupe or roadster?

Well, pleased to report that SLS are still selling like hot cakes - I think three have gone in the last week, so now only two on AT - not bad going in February with crap weather smile

An SLS roadster has finally appeared on the market - at £150k biggrin

It's not even the 'right' colour being black, but does look absolutely stunning in my opinion:

Why the sudden interest in the SLS? Is it a temporary thing driven by values rising i.e. is it self perpetuating?

I think the SLS has long been predicted to become a future classic - glad they're going up since I bought mine! The values of anything only increase as a result of demand, but the rate of increase may start accelerating if more people want to jump on the band wagon. I hope they do! Prices have yet to reach the original list price (except for the odd zero miles car) but I think interest, demand and prices will only grow from here.

That's two at £160k... and mine has half the mileage of either smile

Two options:

A. drive it more and enjoy it by being less precious about the mileage
B. cash my chips in and buy back my previous Aston which I miss and has just come back on the market

A bit of a first world conundrum...

I bought my car, second hand with 3k miles, almost exactly 2 years ago in May 2013.

At the time, i enquired about finance, and balloon payments etc. Finance company's 2013 estimate of what a 2010 SLS coupe was going to be worth in 2015, was £56k...
According to the finance company, my SLS roadster is going to be worth £35k in 3 years biggrin

The roadster that was up for £160k at Bramley appears to have sold, only the black one at £150k is available now. A dealer called me yesterday with an offer on mine as he has a customer looking for a silver roadster... I'm not ready to sell yet though, especially at the price he offered! I'm increasingly coming round to the idea of keeping it and using it a bit more, particularly as it has such low mileage - it is a 2011 car with only 7k on the clock. driving

Don't understand the sharp fluctuations. The roadster was priced below the coupe only a few months ago and now has gone up by nearly 40k! I understand prices are going up but that is a massive spike. Coupe prices appear to have held around 135-140k. Maybe will still rise slightly to come in line with the newer more expensive ones coming onto the used market. Doesn't matter to me as I've already sold mine! frown
The roadster is considerably rarer than the coupe - there are almost four times as many coupes in the UK. Total figure for the roadster is 75 cars and for the coupe 293. Anyone know how many of each were built in total?

I've just treated mine to a new number plate today...

BE57 SLS biggrin

It may not be the best, but it is the best one I own laugh

SLS values will certainly keep increasing, such a unique beautiful car which has only recently been recognised as one of the greats. Get in while you can, especially with these super rare editions!
I think that one looks stunning... a bargain at £240k laugh My SLS roadster is going to be one of the cars on display at Wilton House Supercar day next Sunday, hope the weather improves!
