c220 Vs c350 CDi pros/cons
Discussion
Hello all,
Currently looking at the possibility of getting a ~2010/2011 c-class estate.
Seen many c220s and a couple of c350s in budget. Other than economy on paper and performance difference, just wondering what 'those in the know' think of the two in terms of real world performance, economy, reliability, running costs etc.
Trying to establish whether its worth paying a little more for the c350, or perhaps spending the same but getting one that's a year older and a little higher mileage.
So.... any key difference, particular engines to avoid / look for, common issues, BIG services etc.
Last two cars have been a Golf R32 and BMW 545 estate, so used to cars that aren't that frugal
Thanks!!

Many thanks to both.
Will have a look around and try and test drive a couple this weekend to see the difference.
Glad to hear there aren't any major issues or faults to be mindful of, may end up just going for the 220 as it'll get me a newer, lower mileage one from a quick look on autotrader, but will see what pops up. Not buying it with performance in mind, more of a relaxing cruiser for the next few years, but would obviously be rude not to have a glance at a 350

Yesterday I purchased a 220. Perfectly adequate for what I'm after performance wise and meant I could get a newer and lower mileage one.
So, this week I should be picking up my '62 plate, 220 cdi estate (executive SE) ?basic spec, manual, palladium silver, black artico leatherette. Absolutely mint condition, and the colour I wanted.
Drove great and a nice place to be. Here's to >20mpg...
