C220 W204 economy
Discussion
Not very exciting know, especially on a forum dominated by AMGs but I think k this is worthy of a mention.
I am constantly amazed at the economy I get from my C220, and without driving particularly carefully. For a big car with decent performance it's pretty good.
This is pretty much all on my 22 mile each way commute to/from work on b roads with almost no a roads and no motorways at all (hence tge low average speed).
The drive home from work has less traffic so tends to be better. Arriving home today it was on 67mpg.

Diesels seem to hate running cold but warm up and improve quickly so I would expect short journeys to be fairly poor. What they are very good at is cruising along at a steady speed. Which is why the economy on mine surprises me as my 22 mile trip has only 2 straights totalling around 2 miles, the rest being the usual B road fare.
