Have a look at this under 'Mercedes' ;

It seems we have a new benchmark for R107s - £90k! Ok they are very low mileage, late models, but these would have been £40k tops not very long ago.

First pagodas were out my range and now it seems R107s are slipping away! At least there's enough R129s for me..just would like a SL60 or 73 AMG!

Exactly my point, (extremely) low mileage is such a non-bonus point for me - I'd be more impressed if there was one on offer with half a million miles on the clock, albeit that would not be asking 90 grand for it.

Cars need to be used - it's all very well an 'as new' 30 year old car with delivery mileage; yes it's clean inside and oh, look there's been nothing in the boot and aww, a clean engine bay...but sorry that's not what it's been designed for.

I think SL prices are all over the place at the moment - £50k can buy anything from a W113, R107, R129 and R230/231 of varying degrees but all driveable and obviously differing performance (thinking SL60/55/63/600).
