Mercedes Benz Service History help please.

Hi, wonder if anyone here is able to help me, I'm looking at a used Mercedes which has around 70k with old MOTs to confirm. The current owner does not have the service history though. Does anyone know if is it possible to trace this through a dealer or some sort of centralised record keeping dept at Mercedes? I know BMW offer a similar type service. If MErcedes do have such a facility is it possible to obtain a duplicate service book and request it be stamped up accordingly?

and no i havent upgraded my job cause im using a "daimler" email address instead of "mercedes", just everyone in the business now has daimler email. :-)
