Should I buy this Alfa 159? Advice pls!

Hi I am trying to find a car to export to Tunisia (where my wife is from and where I have a holiday home) to avoid the horrific local taxes on cars. The car has to be less than 5 yrs old and I have looked at various options around the £10k mark. Then I stumbled on this:

It is new old stock (from Mexico, where it went unsold). It seems to be good value for a new car, albeit an old model. List price was around 28k, though this one seems to have a few options. I never imagined I would ever buy a new car but I seem to be persuading myself that it would be a good idea since I don't want to spend my holidays taking it to be repaired.
I'd love to hear whether you think this is good value/a sensible thing to do, plus I am very keen to hear from anyone with experience of the Alfa Qtronic semiauto box. So should I go for a 3 yr old 4 pot 3 series with 50k on the clock at 10 grand, or this new old 3.2 v6 at 16?
Thanks guys
Pirran

That looks awesome. My wife loved her V6 but found the 20mpg too much to bear so she's swapping it for a Fiat 500. The Q4 is a fantastic car. Under the radar. All the Audi and BMW drivers of similar vehicles pay more for less in my opinion. If fuel cost is not do important to you, grab it.
Chris thanks so much for the advice! Well the fuel is about half the Uk price in Tunisia, plus the car won't be used all that much anyway, so fuel economy is not such an issue. Thanks again.
By the way are you a member of Alfaowner.com by any chance? I tried to sign up to ask a similar question to a much more captive audience instead of the general audience on PH, but each time I signed up, I didn't receive the authentification email. When I cancelled the account, however, the cancellation email came through ok. I tried 3 different email addresses but to no avail. I have emailed the forum owners/admin, but not received any responses. If you're a member I'd love some advice - or even a repost of my post on there would be fantastic!
Cheers

Just over a year later and I stumbled across one of these Mexican reimports being resold, Whats the general consensus? Worth a punt at 15k for a 12 month old car? (well 2-3 years but only registered last year)

Looks stunning, fuel economy doesn't bother me as i walk to work but how unreliable is it likely to be? I've had bad luck with our supposedly reliable BMW being the most unreliable car I've ever owned so with my luck the Alfa should be indestructible right A quick google suggests the gearbox is an Aisin unit so shouldn't be too problematic or anywhere near as complicated as the Selespeed ones and the Engine appears to be made by Holden in Melbourne so again should be fairly trouble free.
I have our wedding fund burning a hole in my bank account and need a new car, Wedding is 8 months away and mostly paid for, Deposit on our new house is paid so a new car is a sensible choice according to my man maths

I had to google JFDI I'm very interested so think i'll go for it, Very much depends on a client paying their invoice on time (Tomorrow) though. Having looked at the usual Mercs and Audi's nothing seems to come close in terms of both value for money and looks AWD will be a bonus come snow season too.
