Techy question...Earth points at rear of a 156 engine bay

Hi Guys, I am trying to resolve an airbag light issue. I understand one of the key faults is bad earths. I have found the earths at the front (near the headlights, battery and gearbox). The diagram I have shows two points floating in space at the back of the engine bay on either side. I have looked behind the sound proofing on the bulkhead. even removed the brake fluid reservoir for access. I have looked under the glove box and in with the fuses but cant see an obvious point.

Cheers, I have checked one of the boot earths but ran out of time to do the others, so will look at those tomorrow.

Time for an update...

Last week I gave up and booked my car into a local specialist (Italia speed Near Newbury). They condemned the Airbag Ecu but they did confirm the serial number and found the number for the superseded part. After a bit of searching I found the upgrade ecu on Ebay for a eye watering £13 inc delivery!

I figured at that price it was worth a punt, so bought it. The part arrived on Wednesday, I fitted it that night I was a tad disappointed that fitting it didn't immediately extinguish the airbag light. I figured that I really needed to plug in the Multiscan thing but due to time constraints and bad weather I had to put that bit off till last night (Thursday)...

Anyway plugged in yesterday evening, connected up... Found two new and spurious looking faults, selected clear faults.......

And they bloody well did clear! Woo and indeed hoo! The light was out. This meant that as of today the car has now passed its MOT. I am quite pleased!
