Had mine on radicals rolling road today for the first running after the transformation and it performed superb. My engine builder was breifed with the emphasis on reliability as I am using the car for endurance racing and the performance figures were outstanding from the dyno. 300 bhp at the wheels and 156 ft lb of torque, during the run, the car reached 175 mph !!! 1st track test this saturday.... can"t bloody wait.

Hi Adrian, yes we will be taking plenty of those along with chains and brakepads etc. all signs are very good regs reliability but as you know the proof will be when we get it on track and put it through its paces!! fingers crossed...

that's very impressive! What flywheel figure does the at the wheels figure equate to? What are you expecting the refresh interval to be?

?
Gridgeway, the power at the flywheel is 375 bhp and was mapped in such a way that it is driveable in any gear at any rpm.
Refreshes approx every 25 - 30 hours if everything runs to plan.

Had a day at snetterton yesterday and the car performed faultlessly, I was surprised however, how quiet the car was, we had no noise issues and when the circuit static tested us, we registered 101db at 3/4 rpm! I can only describe the power as awesome, that is the only word that describes it. There was only 1 SR8 (V8) on track to compare it against and I was amazed when I drove past it down the revitt straight both of us on full chat. Apparently, the guy packed up at that point and went home !!. We have a few more testdays to do before the season opener at silverstone to fine tune the set - up to cope with the extra power so looking forward to those.
Tony.

I am still coming to grips with 160 in my CS, I can only imagine what 375bhp feels like.....and that thought scares the crap out of me

Rob, it is 375bhp at the flywheel and 299.98 bhp at the rear wheels when we dynoed it at radicals rolling road last week.
Andrew, it is without doubt an amazing transformation, although it was its first run on track after installation. All pointers are good though as we had no problems apart from the need to go up on fuel rating as the octane booster we were using was ok but on the limit. The company that has carried out the work are based in northampton and are called Greenhill racing and the guys name is Mark Fisher and his work number is 01604 586526.

Hi Tony,

What sort of boost levels are you running to achieve that sort of power? I think my supercharged Elise is running about 0.7bar for 305bhp at the flywheel (2 litre honda).

Adrian,
We are running at 1 bar of boost at the moment and it seems fine as previous post.

So you've gained another 30hp at the wheels since your last post, then! Must be all this cold weather :-) We'll be out with the Juno next Tuesday at Snett, and then Wednesday and Thursday at Donington (Wednesday is a track day). Think you might end up in class 1 of Britsports this year!
