A line-up of fine classic TVR's on display.

The best ass around imo, the Tuscs S6 sound was a bit of a dissapointment. It's the color that does the trick I think . . .

This '69 Tusc's hipo 289 V8 beastie did her best and damped a yum soundbyte on the garagedoor but a bad boy's yellow SE 400 flamed the pipe: sorry! Wonderfull Gulf livery-job btw.

A pity I missed the enginemusic of this Tusc-racer. But there was enough to enjoy: a Griff 5.0 spit some - what are the hot bits that come out? - on my arm. Boy do they sound nice. But be carefull standing behind one . . . The T350 was an amazing looker, I liked the interiors of the Sag and the Tusc S very much, etc. etc.

. . . there are more pics BTW. Ask and I mail big D70 ones for free.

Next year another BadR?

The problem with this page of the thread is that there are no wedges on it.

Ah. That's better

That red wedge didn't look to good. What happened? The 400SE - which popped the flames - had the best sound to it. Is that - above - the one?

Tommorow I'll browse my stuff to find some wedges . . . The Saggy interior and silver S6 Cerb and the green Tusc will be posted anyway.

Cheers, Dinkel

The red one is a rolling restoration project.
The grey one is the 400SE which flamed.
The yellow one is Corno's Seac which he swore he would never sell, until he saw the pearlescent white T350.
The white one has nearly the same chassis number as my car...

Look forward to your interior pics, you have taken some great shots.

Blackpool aan den Rijn, 170905

In our Dutch mountains a TVR is a pretty rare sight. The occasional 90s Chim or Griff can make your day but it's very unlikely to encounter a recent model or a classic like a Vixen or Grantura. It takes events like this one to give an overview of the heritage and a closer look at those Blackpool demons.
Last saturday Alphen aan den Rijn - hometown of the TVR Car Club Holland - was packed with automotive history because of the annual Oldtimerday. Lots of rolling glory like army jeeps, old trucks, tractors, steamengines and a fine bunch of classic cars made a pleasant stroll from the city center to the river. In the middle of the - very long - street of display the history of TVR was layed out with almost every model present (no Tamora). The Dutch TVR importer NIMAG showed an impressive Sagaris and a stunning Tuscan S. A detailed look reveiled the magnificence of these cars. Both very attractive interiors and organic lines all over the place. From every angle these evil bloodbros showed their looks to die for. The attraction and roadpresence and the sheer fragrance of performance made a deep impact on the crowd. I talked to a few bystanders who were overwhelmed by these cars. Like I said they are a
rare sight over here.
It was so good to see the variety TVR offers: from the noble V8S to the elegant 3000M, the bold 90s Griffith to the mean looking Cerbera (I spotted two of only a handfull Dutch Cerbera's). The bright sunshine lit up all the colours on an outer space silverish T350, and Gulf-livery on a '69 Tuscan V8 looked damn fine. And even more so when all fired up. The Tusc's hipo 289 spit a very nice soundbyte which damped the garagedoors. All attention was suddenly drawn to the Wedge-section were a mean 400 SE popped flames at the walls. My favourite piece of enginemusic was a darkgreen 3000 with a tasty Ford V6: "this car is a monster. It's light and very direct. You really have to work to drive it. When you miss a beat you have to depend on your driving skills. I've bought it two months ago and it only has 4 gears . . ." Every car and every owner have their story to tell. And that's only one thing that makes events like these charming.
There was live music and enough food and drink available everywhere. At about five we called it a day and went home. The TVR party drove up to a nice Chinese Restaurant at the waterside and obviously had a good
night.
It's worth a visit if they organise a BadR again next year. I'll hope so and thank the organisation for the good work done.

I'll keep an eye on www.blackpoolaandenrijn.nl

Cheers, Dinkel

Well done Dinkel. You have captured the spirit of the event perfectly, and I'll have to do a write-up of the on the day preparation that the BadR gang did to get the show ready. Maybe someone else can write-up the after show party (Sander!) and we could make a joint submission to MikeB for inclusion in the tvrwedgepages?

I only got this one at dinner (too busy scoffing), of the nice young man from the TVR importer who demo'd the Sagaris and Tuscan.

I can't imagine why he got all the attention from "The BadR Pit Pussies".

Because he is 21 and he was thinking that the Pit Pussies really liked him.The gils meet him that night in amsterdam and they say to him "Do we know you"
