(1)Probably not terminal...
(2)Still got the linkage? Or did it fall off altogether?
(3)Is it really wood? Probably just Fablon-type of thing with polyester lacquer over it
(4)You sure it's the rad? Last leak I had was from the small hose at the top O/S of the rad... looked like the rad but wasn't
(5)Is this because you have a ram of too-high a gas pressure on? Should be 100 Newtons: a lot of them are 200+, which stresses the GRP when the bonnet's closed
(6)Hmmm... I don't like trimming, sorry...
(7)Where from?
(8)See (6)...
(9)What's wrong with that then? But see (6)...
(10)Bloody TVR rubbish.... :bah:
So, to sum up.... you're a moaning git who needs to drive his TVR more often and closely scrutinise the decor a bit less*. Wait till you see my 390 @, then you'll know the meaning of 'rough sex'
Ian
Thanks for those words Ian. Just will point out,, point number 5.. The ram is the origional one as part of the pair that were fitted when it was new.
I have not had any need to replace these, inless they have been replaced inadvertantly.
As for being a moaning git ... yes, your right, but I pay a premium to keep the bloody thing running, and for that premium, I expect the damn thing not to fall apart (more has gone wrong in the last 2 months, than in the last 6 years).
Can't help with any of the techie stuff - but I got a brushed ally trim on mine as I wanted something different to the usual wood look - anyways point is It doesn't crack in the heat, in fact I don't think it will ever need to be replaced and it cost less than a re-veneering and repairing the old wood trim.

Jason: the 'moaning git' bit should've had a or a or a next to it... no offence intended! You should know me by now...
Look on the bright side, you have the wherewithal to own a car like that in the first place. Some of us have to be content with cars from the rough end of the garage... as it were.
Ian
Rapidly sinking into a morass of work as every feckin' client in the world wants a piece of me this week...
Twenty grand seems pitiful recompense, sometimes.
Sorry to hear of your probs Jason -- just to join the club of wedges that need attention:
The gearbox on mine is on it's last legs -- the suspension is a bit Oooh-err (not setup properly at all) it's overheating when taken for a blat -- and it seems to run out of puff around 140ish -- which apparantly could mean the head gaskets on it's way out ! And not being in the least a techie I'll have to pay lots for someone to sort it out...... Bugger !
So much for selling it -- unless someone wants a 'project'

And just in case anyone didn't read it, theres a bod out there in a new BMW M3 who's wondering if he spent his £40K+ wisely when my he crawled past wedge (cruising at 155mph, roof down) on the way to Le mans. !
(Ok, I know I promised not to mention it again, but what the heck, sometimes we all need a spiritual lift! )
I've just cleaned mine, and YES..... I can see new carpets, springs, shocks, wood veneer, front end respray, maybe gearbox rebuild, possible camshaft, Mark Adams chip and other stuff on the horizon. BUT what the hell! Its only money boys and girls!!!!!

dash can be done by the london carriage co
just order one if money isnt the object
My dash is there at the moment. Pricey, but once you see the quality of his work, and realise that there are not very many TVR's with wooden dash of that quality in them, it sort of makes sense to pay it .

Would you mind telling how much "pricey" is? I've looked at their site and it looks amazing, I'm just trying to figure out how much it would cost.
Well, I may as well join the list of moaners...
went out for a hurtle tonight and returned to find front offside side/ indicator lens missing, along with the bulbs That must have been some piece of debris
Also, I'm rapidly gaining the opinion that my car is maybe not as fast as it ought to be (in terms of top speed, not acceleration).... I can feel a rolling road seesion coming on... :insertpoundsignsmiley:

Why not find a rolling road in the midlands somewhere ?
how a =bout a Wedge rolling road shootout ?
Few camcorders to capture the footage, I could knock out some professional style vids, make a day of it.... say a saturday.. find someone who would do a group booking.
Van aken developments in Bracknell do it with the max power boys, and the ferrari lads.
Anyone interested?
Would be a good day out
Well, I did some bodged repairs to my wedge so I can get it to the garage tomorrow to have the most serious problems looked at, then I put it back in the garage, and reached for the keys of my faithful Nissan.
Then I stopped, turned around, got the wedge out of the garage, put the roof down, and drove to work. It rattles, lots of things don't work, but you know what, I've just remembered why I bought it in the first place!
