I'll have to add a quick "bollox" to the power steering thingy, the PS switched off above 7 (I think) MPH, so unless you get your driver thrills while parking...

My first postie
Im thinking of getting the Type R too... been to see one in my local Honda garage and they wouldnt go past giving me just under £1000 off a 5 month old car (3900 miles on clock)... they said they "dont" give much off, if anything, for ex-demos which to me sounds like a pile of
So i was wondering if you lovely people wouldnt mind giving me some advice?? Am I being stupid to think i could get at least 10% off an ex-demo like that??
I thank u in advance for any replies to this Cheers guys!!!

I assume you mean 1K off the new list price. At that price don't touch it, you would be better off financing a brand-new one, first owner and all that jazz. Basically any car will lose around 25% in the first 12 months, most of that the moment you drive off the forecourt. 1K off a 15K car at 5 months old is taking the p. Trouble is there are enough morons who do not understand this and are willing to pay the extra to avoid waiting as well.

If i have to wait then i have to wait ... just means ill lose out on my car each month... :-/

I don't think such a thing exists yet, there is a ltd edition out next year. What was special about it?

Have you tried and Integra yet?

The 15995 price includes the VAT.

That is one of the reasons why a second hand car should be much cheaper when it leaves the forecourt, AFAIK there is no VAT on second-hand cars. So, the garage that is trying to sell the ex-demo for 15062 is actually making more profit on it than a new one (some car companies allow garages to buy a number of demo cars for a slightly lower price as well!)

I still say go for a new one if you really want a type R. If you can find 14-15K then you can probably find the rest, or maybe get insurance and or servicing thrown in for the list price.

The limited edition thing.. dunno thats what the ad said, also the car is a err nasty purple colour and has monitor, tracker etc... all sounds v strange but there ya go!!

so the £15995 includes VAT?!? How cheeky are they? They also charge the red, silver and black at the same price... black is metallic whilst, at least, the red ones arnt.. so are they skipping the £250 charge for metallic on the red ones, or are they adding this on to the red ones price.. i think i can guess which one!! Flippin Honda!

I Payed £15300 on the road with A/C and in Nighthawk Black.

At the Motorshow there was a Honda garage (Taybrook) doing their own special edition CTR for £20,833!
This gives you Black leather seats with red stitiching (wow), front foglights, A/C, rear tailgate chrome edge moulding (super wow), rear parking sensors, tracker system and tinted glass.

Is it worth it??

You know the red stitching is worth the extra 5k!! The tinted glass doesn't actually look too bad but I have never been a fan mainly cos you can't see sh*t out of it and also cos u look like a pimp.

The anniversary model will be availiable in 300 cars only. 100 for each color.

There are no differences in the engine whatsoever. The A/C is standard. The 'normal' Type R Recaro seats are replaced with dark red racing Recaro ones. The same dark red fabric is used on the side of the doors. On the outside there is a 30th anniversary badge somewhere and the mirrors are on the car color. Also the rear and back-side windows are all tinted. Nothing else!! Plus the limited edition numbered plate on the engine...

On the Anniversary SE it breaks down like this.....

A/c on the standard model is a £250 extra. Honda demand a £200 premium for the Anniversary SE which come as standard with a fridge and different paint (I think). So if you must go brand new the clever money buys the Anniversary, takes the free paint job and saves £50 'cos you'd have spec'ed the A/c anyway, right?!

It must be true, I read it in EVO or CAR or MaxPower or something.....

A/C is a £1250 option on standard car, so that makes it retail at £17245. The anniversary is £17000. Oh and the front seats re-set themselves after you have lifted them up.
