So when Michelle said 'look at all those cars' pointing to SAS's fleet in the car park, what else did he have? There was the Phantom & the Bentley, anything else spunky?

Sorry, £510 commission for her.

Surely 1% of sale price is about right for a salesman's commission on a used car?

Not sure but I would have thought "the business" requires say 10% on each deal out of which they pay the salesman...i am sure there are some car salesman types lurking in here who would be better acquainted with how it all works....I am lead to believe however that in the whole package the salesman makes more from the commission on the finance deal than the actual car deal

At most car supermarkets it is scaled between £45 and £65 per unit regardless of profit, thats why it is all down to numbers, the more you sell the more you earn per unit so thats why if you did a syed and spend over two hours with one customer, well means your a tt!

My commission is 20% of net profit if I average over £1500 a unit for the month, if it falls below then it is 10%.

But there is a Merc dealer out there that dosen't pay commission they are all paid a flat wage.

£120k worth of cars and made a 'profit' of £1800 in total = 1.5% doesn't seem particularly good business to me....or maybe thats not the point

It was made clear during the program that they were being paid commision on the car sales of 1%. That is not 'profit' to the car supermarket, it's the commission to the sales people

They also earned much higher rates of commission on the add on sales

Yes, twice. It looked like a 996 Cab, but then I saw the other cars being sold on that lot and thought I must be seeing things (twice).

Oi, Cyberhuss - any chance of some more of your techno-wizardry by means of a freeze-frame showing the Porsche?

I thought the car sales place they were at didn't actually 'sell' cars, I thought they were one of those places that only had 'advisors'?

Wasn't it here?

“ I spent a day watching Trade-Sales do business and came away mightily impressed.”
Quentin Wilson

And I wonder if Quentin said that before or after he appeared on "The Apprentice: Your fired"?

On that basis it's over £1,100 in commission for badger alone for a single day, she'd earn far more doing that every day of the week than she would as an apprentice!

Don't forget that was a saturday and nice weather... ie good car buying time. I would imagine its a bit quieter during the week and when its miserable weather.

So are you lot all just being polite, or was i the only one to spot that Tuan had his hand down his trousers (pyjamas?) while Michelle was practicing her 'look, here i'm pouring some ribena onto normal carpet' routine.

I even watched it again online this afternoon just to check, does that make me a perv ?

I deleted 'TA/E6' off Sky+ (which I use to scan back and forth to find the correct time to capture the pictures)

Live stream doesn't let me forward or rewind so unless you know the exact time the Porsche was shown? e.g. 00:24:17

You can get every episode again via the BBC website, all you need is a little capture program to get the video or even just pause the picture to grab images.

Everyone universally condemned Syed. Not as I would have expected for his blatant use of the race card, but for his barefaced lies. Paul is generally considered strong, if egotistical, Michelle as potentially backstabbing and Tuan as solid. It does not explain why, in our e-poll, Tuan has received so much support.

I can't think why

Seem to recall noticing it had a 'P' plate on it, which was probably a private plate.
