as im upgrading the cooling system ie recored radiator and ive orderd some stainless coolant pipes and a swirl pot from ACT is the otter switch the same size fitting as the one on my S3C nige.

Nope I think you will find its the same as a Chimaera one

A lot of the S3s were fitted with the same otter switch as the chimaera, mine certainly was. It is also a common part that can be bought online for under a tenner. I've listed it on the alternative parts list but can't remember which car it came from
