Good evening fellow PH'ers, whilst on a weekend out to the lakes my trusty old girl racked up her 100,000th mile...anybody know how many have reached that milestone?

Heading past 145000 on the way to TAG in two weeks time, don't you just love the sound of a well used TVR Chimaera,

Don't think Griff boys get past 20000, still they are rare old men lol

Sorry OP.
Cars at TrackvRoad clocking up a huge bill rolleyes.
A list of final jobs, timing and misfire to fix, Eann Whalley will be along to tweak the fuelling etc, a full geo and MoT.
They had a mechanic promised after he finished prepping a racer last week so he should be on it now.
I have insurance ready to go, so just need to visit the PO when i pick the car up, then its off to the Shakey this coming Saturday for some slow runs and lots of checks.

She's due a camshaft soon but other than that no problem, so much less frantic to drive than the Cerbera was! Hope to put many more miles on her..

I'm way behind on just over 62k.

I bought the Chim in 2003 with 17k on the clock so it look like it will take nearly 10 years to get to 100k!

121000 for me now, just done over 3500 miles driving down to south east Spain via the Millau Bridge, and she hasn't missed a beat.

Almost 138000 here, would have more but for the snapped shocker and body damage. Hope I am back on the road this weekend. Have lost the will to live for 4 weeks now, I cannot wait much longer.

I am well impressed with all you big mileage chaps bow

It does show the RV8 can give excellent service.

Disappointingly my Chim needs a new clutch and its only done 35k frown

I think in my case its more to do with the pressure plate going soft with age/heat, rather than general wear to the driven plate as such.

Just out of interest, how many miles did you lot get from your clutches before they needed replacing?
