Just updated another thread with this, but on reflection, deserves it's own post...

160,000 mile T350 with a pre-emptive TVR Power rebuild at 60,000 miles in SPRINT mag this month... Yes, I repeat, 160,000 miles.

Thought 52k in mine over 4 years was good but this takes the biscuit. TVR Power stripped it down, and it's in rude health for another 90,000 they reckon. Next interview/article at 250,000 biggrin

WOW !

Excellent stuff and extremely impressive! Dom also should be very proud of this achievement and it gives me even more confidence in my engine.

Now where are all those guys still going on about blabla the Speed Six being a flawed design? This pretty much proves that the design is fundamentally sound and that it was just some crap/incorrectly specced parts that caused all the trouble.

Not read the article yet but is that 160k from the point of a power re-build and then just serviced only? if it is that is good to know.

The 120,000 mile Tamora that was in Sprint a couple years back has now also done over 150,000 miles. It looks like if the components are good (engine rebuilt at Str8 Six at 100K miles) and it's looked after properly (servicing at PPC) these Speed Six engines is more than capable of clocking up big mileages.

I believe it was the the car that had the rebuild done at 60K and the Power engine has just had its 100K service. I have my copy of Sprint at home and saw the piece but haven't read it yet, need to get my finger out!

I thought the guy that owned it is called 'shorts' on PH.. If this is a different car then there is another T350 with upwards of 100k miles on it.

Great, I can now refer to mine as "very low mileage"!!

Proof again that good care and servicing is the key.
