I've seen from other threads that people are using M&P Pro Tec seats in the back of their 911s. I know this seat was discontinued and later a new model was released as the Pro Tec SA-ATS. Has anybody got one of these and if so does it still fit ok?

Looking for a seat for a 2 year old (so most of the 15KG plus seats are slightly too big) so the porsche can be promoted as a practical alternative to the estate (well I can dream)...

I have one of these in my 996, it comes with a harness for the younger ones, which can be removed when they are a bit bigger and can use the seatbelt. I have taken out the seat base in the car and with this removed it is a very good fit. My son seems to think it is quite comfortable as he regularly falls asleep in it on a long drive!

I'm about to advertise one my Recaro's on ebay if you give me a day or so.....

I have them both normally in the back of the turbo but I've promoted Snr to a larger car seat. It's good that it has head supports that a lot of the others don't have and you can take them out when bigger and really use them upto the age of 4.

In good nick, no rips or tears and low use really as I only have the boys once a week in the car.

this is it here:

So I visited the showroom at http://www.pushchairsandcarseats.co.uk/ today to try out the seats mentioned above. After about an hour of trying different seats in the back of the 997 there was one seat that stood out as providing the best fit, called was the Kiddy Energy Pro (some Mum's opinions at http://www.mumsnet.com/Reviews/CarSeatsFromNineMon... A fairly innovative design in that it doesn't have any belts but seems to be very well regarded and fits really well into the Porsche (and allows the front passenger seat to have plenty of room).

The Recaro Young Expert and Maxi Cosi Tobi also fitted ok but either compromised the front passenger too much or did not fit as well as I wanted so I plumped for the Energy Pro.
