Tried to wash the windscreen prior to the MOT, and nothing happened.
Appears the pipe has come off from the jet unit, and it was filling up behind the dashboard eek

My hands are too big to reach through from the glove compartment - has anyone got any tips or ideas on how to resolve this?!

Poke a length of new tube down from the outside of the scuttle and keep pushing it through. Then hope you can grab the end of it when it appears behind the dash. If it does, connect it to the old pipe. Good luck - you'll need it.

Might be a good time to look at converting to washer jets on wiper blades scratchchin

Fit some jets on the wiper arms - they work dramatically better than the original ones fixed to the scuttle. Supply them by a hose run directly from the washer bottle/pump along the top of the bulkhead to the base of the wiper arms, attached to the bulkhead with adhesive wiring clips. No more faffing about with blocked jets and mangled hoses.

That sounds like a much better idea! Can you get the wiper mounted jets from any old motor factors/Halfrauds etc?

Just found some on Demon Tweaks - £10 a side - bargain compared to the nightmare of having to try to reconnect it....will keep you posted!

You are not going to believe this Glen but I put TVR S windscreen washer jets into the PH search engine and it found this:
http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=482...

Car Builder Solutions do various screenwash jets, pipes, joints etc. They do not however do a blade mounted system.
My washers work wonderfully at 70ish, much less than that and the guy behind gets his washed!

lose the central (near impossible to get at) washer jet, drill two new holes and have twin jets (that you can get at the back of) smile
