Hi

Just bought a car on ebay and going to pay for it. The thing is that I live in Sweden and would like to pay for the car and get it shipped over here. The company I bought it from is called: JRR Cars Ltd. They are located in Preston close to Manchester. The guy there is acting a bit wierd with the payment, and maybe Im over reacting but I just would like to check if they realy exist. Have anyone been there or heard of them before, maybe bought a car from them? Or maybe you drive that way to work and can check that they are a real company?

website: www.jrrcars.co.uk

thanks

Björn

You're not offering to overpay him by including the shipping cost, are you?

I imagine he is funny with payment, because you could be (yet another) foreign scammer.

yeah, could be but Im notsmile. I googled to but only got sites were they were saying things about them selfs. Nicer to hear that someone has seen their shop in real life.

I have a guy who takes 400 to take it to the port. Dont know if thats to much but he has taken a car of mine before so I know that he is okay.

thanks for replies so far

I've dealt with John (through the trade) for a few years now, good bloke, mainly does low mileage low owner execs.

Wouldn't have any issues with buying from him.

No names, or? Unless we're hypocritical, ie it's ok to praise (possible additional revenue stream) but it's not ok to diss (possible litigation). But what about the freedom of speech? If you censor something that surely does affect our human rights, right?

How odd.

Name and shame - the clue is in the name. Advertising isn't allowed, but Mark (a well known PHer) responding to say he knows someone and he is sound is not advertising.

I have previously bought a car off them some 10+ years ago. They were good to deal with if I remember correctly.

Not too sure where you are coming from here, but as far as I can see and read there is not an N&S issue here.

Hope that clarifies.

Either you're being obtuse, or you're just stupid.
