Spend all winter deciding whether to sell it and end up deciding to keep it! (again!)

All my winter jobs have been done through the summer. And should be finished just in time for the snow. Haha.
But just to list few things
Tds
LSD
Ungraded rebuilt gearbox
Upgraded paddle clutch
Completely rebuilt engine with rs cosworth pistons and longer rods.
Upgraded intercooler
Refurb turbos
New brake lines
New hand break cable
Fixed air con
Full geo set up.
Wing end plates (tuxman)

There is probably a few more bits but this is what I remember and should all equate to over 400bhp :-)

well as above ive spent the summer doing winter jobs but have a stonkingly fast car now, the only jobs i will be doing are,

Brake fluid (anyone got a recommendation as i boiled the fluid at knockhill last weekend)
maybe grooved discs and pagid pads
maybe a tuxman carbon intercooler box wink
maybe cut the front and rear arches out to release some air pressure

Drive it on the occasional nice day smile

I am lucky and have a TDS and LSD and 6 speed box.

My mods will be ALL Tuxman mods.
Dive planes
carbon infils
open front arches
spoiler wings
Gurney flap on spoiler

Not sure whether to SORN or not. Dont you have to do all sorts of preparation things to keep it without using it? Not sure i can be bothered. Might just use it once a fortnight instead! and maybe a crisp sunny winter day trackday?!

Yep I do lots of winter prep work...... Leave in gear, handbrake off, alarm internal sensors off !
Drive on dry weekend once a month when weather permits !!

I'll take it out on the nice, sunny, dry, salt free days. I'm bound to get more use out of it over the next 6 months than I did the last six with our shyte summer.

When's that fancy new gear linkage mod going to be ready, Tux? I'd quite like one of those.

I imagine my winter will involve

a)wondering when I'll get my car back
b)collecting it just as the first snow starts
c)weeping as something else breaks / I crash it / etc.

How do I turn the alarm off?

Mine lives underground with the handbrake off and not in gear anyway and the insurance is paid for the year so there's no point me SORN'ing it.

Plus i will miss it too much.

For me: -

1. Get TDS fitted.
2. Get Oil pressure/temperature gauge fitted.
3. Get Stainless steel manifolds fitted.
4. Get LSD fitted.
5. Up-rated fuel pump
6. Timing Mod.
7. RE-Map by Yellowshed.

I will continue to use mine through the winter when I can, in-between upgrades and weather permitting.

Using the car on dry days (say once a fortnight) does less harm than storing for the winter.

Exactly how I have tried to spend most winter months since I've owned it.

I will also probably do a few other little things though wink

Tux, why get M400 seats as you can get the same ones from demon tweaks just without the M400 on them?
I'm either going to do this or get mine re-done with extra padding.
